A few years ago someone gave me a set of bull horns for my birthday. It was a complete surprise. I thought about putting them on my truck to be funny, but never did. I don’t think they were made for that.
Recently, at a function, I had another person tell me that they admired how I’ve taken my current situation and “grabbed the bull by the horns.”
I guess that got stuck in my mind as I have been thinking about it off and on since.
I did literally throw the set of bull horns in the yard a couple of times, and eventually burned them. I figure that’s about as close to taking the bull by the horns as it gets.
For those of you that have been following me for the last several years, you already know the story.
Cambridge Dictionary defines that expression as: to deal with a difficult situation in a very direct way or to do something difficult in a brave and determined way.
I reckon that’s pretty true about me and my recent difficulties with relationships, work, career, financial stress, and family.
But, why would you want to live life any other way?
